Our team elevated community voice and ensured neighborhood leadership by establishing a 30-resident Neighborhood Planning Committee and directing nine Neighborhood Ambassadors to reach over 1,000 residents across the planning area. To ensure deep engagement, we developed a public-facing website, highly visual materials, and plain-language communications to dramatically reduce participation barriers for seniors, caregivers, and transit users. This approach allowed us to gather their input and successfully incorporate it with substantive City requirements across housing, economic development, transportation, sustainability, and anti-displacement strategies into a Draft Neighborhood Plan.
