Metropolitan Strategies and Solutions (MSS) was forged by a partnership based on service. The firm’s two managing partners first met at Army Officer Candidate School, beginning a shared path of leadership that continues today as they continue to serve in the Army National Guard.
The philosophy of MSS was profoundly shaped by the partners' combat experience, operating in high-stakes environments where the consequences of decisions are real and immediate. They learned that success relies on unity of purpose, extreme ownership, and adaptability.
Our heritage is woven directly into the firm's visual identity. The MSS logo is constructed from the initials of the company’s name: Metropolitan, Strategies, and Solutions, unified into a single, cohesive mark.
The logo is specifically designed to mirror the Right Shoulder Flag Reverse, a visual staple of the U.S. military uniform. In military tradition, the flag is worn with the star field facing forward to simulate the flag streaming back as the wearer moves into battle.
It represents progress, commitment, and action in complex environments. The flag also represents the environments and communities MSS serves. It grounds the brand in the real world, where decisions shape people, systems, and outcomes.
This insignia serves as a constant reminder of the firm’s foundational promise: to operate with integrity, serve a larger purpose, and remain relentlessly mission-driven.
